Bhiwadi Cops Rescue 2 From Tn, Arrest 2 |
Jaipur: Bhiwadi police on Friday rescued two men from Tamil Nadu who were kidnapped and duped of Rs 5.5 lakh by criminals who invited them to sell clothes through social media. Two criminal have been arrested.
Nand Lal Jangid, SHO, Chopanki police station, stated that through local informer’s network the police was informed that some persons from Tamil Nadu were seen in Basaiya ki Dhani village under Chopanki police station area.
“Locals also informed that they had heard screams of these people who were kept hostage in a house in the village. Thus, we sent a team in plain cloths and raided the house where Dilip Kumar and his friend were kept hostage,” said Jangid.
He added that these two further informed that the accused identified as Irrfan and Sabir had kidnapped them.
“It was further stated by Kumar that 10 days ago they had seen an advertisement promising sale of the cut piece waste cloths. The seller with the contact number promised that Rs 10 per kg to Rs 28 per kg are the prices for the cut piece cloths. Kumar contacted on the number and he was asked to come to Delhi. Both the men from Tamil Nadu took a flight and came to Delhi. From Delhi airport they got a cab sent by the accused cons. Later, they were brought to the village where they were asked to transfer Rs 5.5 lakh in UPI transfer and they did it,” said Jangid.
Cons after getting the money demanded for more money and had threatened that both would be killed. However, the police team reached on time and got the two men rescued and arrested two criminals for kidnaping and cheating.
“After the rescue, we have taken the complaint from the two men from Tamil Nadu and have lodged a case. Both are not well versed with Hindi and English thus through interpreter, we interacted with them,” Jangid added.
