Kota: A POCSO court in Kota on Monday convicted a 29-year-old man to 14 years imprisonment in jail for repeatedly raping a 23-year-old woman and later sharing her video clips with her in-laws after her marriage three years ago in Kota.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 1.14 lakh upon the convict. This case was under trial at woman’s atrocities court but was transferred to POCSO court – 4.
POCSO court – 4 of the city convicted Mahaveer Meena (29), a resident of Deikheda village in Bundi district to 14 years jail for repeatedly raping the woman over three years ago, said public prosecutor (PP), POCSO court – 4 Dhirendra Choudhary.
The woman on May 23 lodged a complaint against Mahaveer Meena in Kunhari police station of the city and alleged Meena, who was already in her contact, took her to a hotel on November 24, 2019 and raped her there.
She alleged that Meena had sent the video to her husband and in-laws after her marriage in May 2020 that caused their breakup. TNN
