Man Gets 20 Yrs In Jail For Raping Minor | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Jaipur Metro-I’s Special Court-1 for POCSO cases has sentenced Laxman Mahavar, a resident of Jyoti Nagar, accused of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old minor, to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 62,000. Justice Manisha Singh said in the order that the accused abducted the minor and took her to Hyderabad and forced her to have sex several times. The crime was proved by DNA and FSL report and no leniency can be shown towards the accused. Special public prosecutor Rajesh Sheoran said that on March 11, 2021, the victim’s father lodged a report at Jawahar Circle police station that he and his son had gone to Tonk and his wife had gone out for work, leaving their daughter at home. When his wife returned home, the daughter was missing. They suspected Laxman, who lived in the neighbourhood. Police arrested Laxman from Hyderabad and rescued the rape survivor. TNN
