Man kills cousin with a sword in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu; held | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his cousin by cutting his neck with a sword at Ponk village under Gudhagodji area of Jhunjhunu district on Monday evening. Police have arrested the accused on Tuesday and stated that some old enmity has emerged as the main reason behind the attack so far.
According to police, the incident took place at 8.30 pm on Monday when the accused identified as Kishor attacked Shankar(27) with a sword. Soon after the attack he managed to flee from the scene. The two were neighbours. The police control room was also informed about the incident.
A team of senior police officers including Gudhagodji SHO Veer Singh Gurjarreached the spot. A large number of people gathered at the spot. Panic gripped the two families and the villagers. “The injured man who was lying in a pool of blood and the blood was oozing out of his neck was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. His neck was grievously injured,” said Gurjar.
Gurjar added that the accused Kishor was arrested on Tuesday morning when he was attempting to flee to Punjab where he used to work as a driver in a private transport company.
Family members alleged that Kishor had been giving life threats to Shankar. “The accused Kishor, according to the villagers, is alcoholic and is a driver in a private transport company. Whenever he comes to the village he becomes rowdy and makes lots of noise,” Gurjar added.
