KOTA: A court here on Monday sentenced to life imprisonment a 37-year-old man, Gourav Jethi alias Rocky, after finding him guilty of choking to death his wife Vaishali Jethi, 32, a native of Mumbai, and then burning and dumping her body in a drum in July 2015. The court also slapped on him a penalty of Rs 1 lakh.
The court sentenced to 7 years in jail and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on Tikamchnd Suman, 34, who was co-accused in the conspiracy to destroy evidence by burning the body and dumping it in a drum at a forest area along the Dabi four-lane highway in Kunhari police station area of Kota city.
Additional public prosecutor Narendra Malav said that Kunhari station police had recovered the woman’s half-burnt body from the drum on July 23, 2015, and after investigation had lodged a case against Jethi and his friend Suman. cr
