Man Who Sought 11l To Make Student Pass In Gr-2 Exam Held | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Police on Monday arrested a person from Mansarover for demanding Rs 11 lakh from a student with the guarantee that he would help him clear the Grade-II teachers’ exam with flying colours.
In a decoy operation, the accused was arrested after accepting a cheque of Rs 5.5 lakh and a stamp paper in which the accused had given an undertaking to the victim to help him clear the exam with good marks. The arrested was the president of Chimanpura College in Shahpura in 1998 and had been a member of a panchayat samiti.
Senior officers of crime branch said Mukesh Yadav had filed a complaint stating that in 2019 he was preparing for agriculture supervisor recruitment exam. “It was at that time he met Ram Prasad Chopra who promised to provide him the paper of agriculture recruitment exam and demanded Rs 7.5 lakh. Yadav had given him Rs 1.5 lakh advance. Prior to the exam, Ram Prasad and other accused were arrested by the SOG,” said Rahul Prakash, DIG(Crime) told TOI while quoting the complaint.
Later, after getting out of the jail, Yadav asked Ram Prakash to return Rs 1.5 lakh he had taken as advance. “This time, he promised that he will help him in clearing the supervisor exam for 2021 and again took Rs 1.5 lakh advance,” Prakash added.
Despite being cheated again, Yadav against approached Ram Prasad and he again promised that for Grade-II teachers exam, he would help him in clearing with good marks.
“He had even asked Yadav to bring more candidates with the assurance that both will make big bucks. But this time, Ram Prasad demanded Rs 11 lakh from Yadav and asked him to give Rs 5.5 lakh advance,” he added.
On Monday, when the accused came to accept the cheque of Rs 5.5 lakh, he was arrested. “We have also seized a stamp paper of Rs 500 in which the accused had guaranteed the victim to facilitate him in clearing the exam with good marks,” he added.
