Security forces have recovered eight firearms, six hand grenades, 112 bullets and other ammunition in separate operations launched in Bishnupur and Imphal West districts of Manipur in the last 24 hours, while six illegal bunkers have been destroyed in Tengnoupal.
The situation in the state continues to be tense, with sporadic incidents of firing and gathering of protesters reported in the adjoining hill areas of Kanto Sabal and Koutruk in Imphal West, as per a police statement on Wednesday.
