Mansarovar: Man Snatches Woman’s Chain At Her Apartment’s Parking Area | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A brazen loot-and-scoot snatching case has raised doubts over the security measures in the city after a snatcher pushed a 45-year-old woman to the ground in the parking compound of her apartment building in Mansarovar before fleeing with her gold chain.
The incident took place when the woman was headed for her flat. She spotted two men on a bike loitering in front of her building. As per the complaint, while one of the accused entered the building’s parking lot, his partner continued revving the engine of the bike.
The second accused then approached the woman pretending to be looking for a rental flat. The accused moved quickly to grab the woman’s gold chain, but a struggle soon ensued in which both fell to the ground. However, the accused swiftly looted the chain from her neck before fleeing on the bike with his partner.
The woman told cops in her complaint that she had asked the accused not to enter the building, but he kept walking into the compound. Police also retrieved CCTV footage of the incident, which showed the accused snatching the chain from the woman.
The brazen act of suspects forcibly snatching a chain from a woman inside her own house has raised concerns about the resurgence of newly-formed gangs. Police claim that they are searching for the suspects by examining CCTVs in the vicinity.
However, such an audacious daylight loot-and-scoot incident warrants answers about patrolling in the city.
The woman stated in her FIR to the police that the incident took place shortly after 2 pm, a time when localities in Mansarovar are often bustling with a range of activities during the day.
