Medical College: Med College Teachers’ Bodies To Boycott Work On Saturday | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Medical college teachers on Thursday announced boycott of work on September 2 over their pending demands.
The boycott will affect all hospitals attached to government-run medical colleges in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer and Udaipur.
The medical education teachers have been demanding time-bound promotion, increase in salaries and allowances and recruitment of more doctors are some of their main demands.
“No order has yet been issued by the government regarding our demands pending for many years. Therefore, the mass leave on Saturday (September 2) will be taken,” said Dr Pawan Singhal, an president-elect of Medical College Teachers’ Association Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan Medical College Teachers’ Association is supporting it as the two associations of medical teachers have formed a joint action committee to raise their pending demands.
They have been demanding that the promotions of medical teachers should be done on the basis of National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
They demanded time bound promotions. They demanded that the fee for private practice for government doctors should be increased. They raised a demand that principal of medical colleges should be allowed to give permission for foreign trips of doctors.
