Membership Process For Constitution Club Starts |

Jaipur: The process of membership for the newly constructed Constitution Club of Rajasthan (CCR) has started with the issuance of application forms by the assembly secretariat.
There are seven membership categories: lifetime, ordinary, special, general, non-resident, individual foreign, temporary, and institutional. Mahavir Prasad Sharma, the principal secretary of the Assembly, said CCR has a total built-up area of 1.95 lakh square feet, which includes basement, ground floor, and five floors.
“The club has been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 80 crore on 4,948 square metres near the Assembly building. It has rooms for guests, a restaurant, a coffee house, a swimming pool, an auditorium, a meeting hall, a conference hall, a gym, a salon, and badminton and tennis courts,” said Sharma. Members and former members of Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha, and Rajasthan Legislative Assembly can apply for life and ordinary membership of the club, said Sharma. Judges of Supreme Court of India and high courts, district judges, vice-chancellors of universities, and present and former officers of all-India services can become members of the Club, he added. Eminent and prominent citizens, artists, sportspersons, scholars, journalists, writers, intellectuals, achievers in public life, industrialists and entrepreneurs who have received national or international awards, prizes or recognition in their respective fields can also apply for membership of the club, added Sharma.
