Mi Road: Doc Rally & Festival Throw Traffic Out Of Gear On Key Roads Of Jaipur | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Traffic crawled on several major roads of the city including MI Road, Khasa Kothi and Collectorate because of a march organised by doctors and a festival at Amarpura Sthan on Tuesday.
Commuters going to MI Road had an especially harrowing time with vehicles moving bumper-to-bumper. The doctors’ march also passed through MI Road, and Amarpura Sthan is also located near the same road.
People were also struck in long snarls near Trimurti Circle, Narain Singh Circle, Collectorate, Bani Park, Sindhi Camp, Sanganeri Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Sansar Chandra Road, etc.
While the traffic police on Monday had issued a detailed advisory about diversions through multiple roads, many commuters were stuck and caught off-guard.
Akshya Agarwal, a businessman, said he was travelling from Trimurti Circle to Bani Park but had to change plans due to traffic jams in different areas.
Different teams of traffic police tried to help vehicles move through alternative routes to make more space on MI Road, Ajmer Gate, etc. “Many people like me did not know that there was a rally and a festival near MI Road. Otherwise I would have chosen some other route to go to Jhotwara from Bani Park,” said Abhimanyu, another commuter.
