Min Rebukes Babus For Delaying, Obstructing Devpt Work In Bundi | Jaipur News
Kota: State sports and youth affair minister Ashok Chandna came down heavily on bureaucrats for delay and obstruction in development works in his constituency Hindoli-Nainwa during a review meeting at the district collectorate in Bundi on Tuesday.
The minister threatened the district forest officer of ‘taking his life in a day if he got a suitable opportunity or if he messed with the development works in his constituency’.
Bundi district collector Ravinder Goswami, ADM Mukesh Choudhary, Bundi zila pramukh Chandrawati Kanwar and other district officials were present at the meeting.
When Bundi deputy conservator of forests (DCF) T. Mohanraj tried to give an explanation, Chandna said, “You are sitting on a heap of fire and you are an ungrateful man. I will pay you back with interest. Keep it in mind that the day I get an opportunity, I will take your life the same day. You will not be spared for your wrongdoings and you will have to bear the consequences wherever you are posted.”
The minister was reviewing the progress of Rs 36-crore development works in his constituency. CM Ashok Gehlot had sanctioned Rs 1,600 crore for the development of Hindoli-Nainwa constituency. In the meeting, he also took updates on the progress of various projects including constructions of roads, medical college, beautification of Ramsagar Lake.
The minister alleged that though he never called the DFO, he was aware about the hindrance caused by his department.
The minister also warned the engineer of the irrigation department for delay in construction of three anicuts in his constituency.
Hinting at the poll year, the minister asked the officials to perform at their best in executing the government schemes or be ready to face the consequences.
Later, Chandna said that though he did not mean to hurt anyone’s sentiment but it was the duty and responsibility of the officers to execute the government’s welfare schemes within the deadline.
The minister, who is often in the news for his aggressive remarks, had earlier slapped a JVVNL engineer.
