Jaipur: The Budget does not have much for real estate industry even the developers were expecting stamp duty relaxation would find the attention of the chief minister. On the other hand, the mining industry got most of its demands fulfilled.
During his Budget speech, the CM announced that the high rises will also get PHED water. It was a long-standing demand as the residents in those buildings still depend on ground water.
But the mining industry is upbeat. Reduction of land tax, and premium on extension of quarry licence, yearly return instead of the existing quarterly requirement have been accepted by the government.
Akshaydeep Mathur, honarary secretary general of Federation of Mining Associations of Rajasthan, said, “Mining is a huge sector, and the CM has accepted most of our demands. The Budget proposals will unleash a new phase of growth creating employment and generating revenues for the government.”
