Minor Boy Harasses Girl Via Fake Profile On Social Media | Jaipur News
The girl’s father filed an First Information Report (FIR) at Nahargarh police station, alleging that the accused was harassing his daughter on cyberspace with a fake profile and regularly posting obscene messages.

“The accused is a minor. He created a fake social media profile that included some objectionable materials,” said SHO Devendra Kumar.
Police have booked the creator of the profile under IPC Sections 354 (A) (Sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 354 (D) (Stalking), 506 (criminal intimidation), 384 (extortion), and different provisions of the Information and Technology Act.
Police said the accused is an acquaintance of the girl and has been harassing her through a social media profile.
The menace of fake social media profiles has long been a major problem for police, as many women have regularly complained about their photos being uploaded online to blackmail them.
A senior official said tracking IP addresses often becomes a difficult task in such cases, slowing down the probe.
Sources said similar complaints filed by many women in the past include incidents of people posting lewd messages on social media profiles which had their photos and in some cases even their phone numbers.
“In this particular case, the boy is a minor who deliberately set up a fake profile with malicious intentions. Therefore, we have taken up the investigation as a priority,” the official said.
