Missing Girl: Cops Trace Missing Girl | Mystery Shrouds Charred Body’s Identity | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Jaipur police on Thursday tracked down a missing 18-year-old girl, whom her parents claimed was the same girl whose charred body was recovered last week in Kalwar.
Additional DCP (West) Ram Singh stated that the missing girl was tracked down on Thursday; she had gone on her own will, and police were able to find her safely.
He mentioned that the investigation regarding the identification of the charred girl’s body discovered last week remains a mystery.
Talking to TOI, a senior official clarified that these were two separate cases; the first one pertained to the burnt body of an unidentified girl, and the other was that of a missing girl, but the parents mistakenly linked the two.
“When a few relatives of the missing girl came forward, they claimed that they could identify by the charred body that she is the same girl who went missing. However, it was difficult for anyone to identify her because the body was charred beyond recognition,” said an official.
“Some individuals from a nearby town raised suspicions suggesting that the deceased may be the same girl who was reported missing a few days ago from a nearby area and she is the same girl who was allegedly gang-raped back in 2021. We collected samples and sent them for examination ,” said the official.
“The missing girl was previously been reported to have been raped in 2021, and two accused had already been arrested in that case but nothing can be verified yet if she is the same girl because her body was charred beyond recognition so it is too early to say anything,” said an official.
