JMC-G: JMC-G to now take feedback from citizens on cleanliness |

Jaipur: JMC Greater has stepped up efforts to improve sanitation in city, with the mayor instructing officials to monitor the situation on the ground daily from 7am till 9am.
Mayor Somya Gurjar on Thursday held a review meeting in which she said that the city’s cleanliness situation will be reveiwed by officials every day and the municipal corporation will take feedback from residents every 15 days.
The mayor and JMC-G commissioner Babulal Goyal at the meeting discussed the door-to-door waste collection system, Swachh Survekshan Survey-2024, situation of stray animals, cutting and pruning of trees, monitoring and action being taken by Swachhta Praharis 24×7, among other issues.
Gurjar instructed deputy commissioners of every zone to take stock of cleanliness from 7am to 9 am daily and send photos on WhatsApp group.
“Negligence in cleanliness system will not be tolerated at any level. Cleanliness is the primary function of the municipal corporation. All officials will take stock of the cleanliness system daily and send photos with geo tagging on the WhatsApp group. Vacant plots where garbage is being dumped should be identified, cleaned, and plot owners must be informed to build a boundary wall,” said Gurjar.
She said the helpline number of the corporation will be written on waste collection vehicles.

The Rajasthan High Court has quashed the suspension order of Jaipur Municipal Corporation – Heritage (JMC-H) mayor Munesh Gurjar for the second time in five months. The court has directed the state government to re-investigate the charges against Gurjar and appoint a new enquiry officer. Gurjar was suspended twice over allegations related to her husband’s arrest in a bribery case. The court found that the charges against Gurjar were not specific and the previous inquiry against her was vitiated. The arrest involved alleged acceptance of Rs 2 lakh from a person for land leases.
