Modern Jaipur: Modern Jaipur: Congress’s Contribution to Development | Indian News | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing a public gathering at Civil Lines assembly constituency on Monday said that modern Jaipur is the contribution of Congress government.
The CM who was addressing the gathering with party candidate Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said, “Modern Jaipur is the contribution of Congress government, the first time I became chief minister we widened the JLN Marg which was a single road before, we built the Ghat ki Ghuni tunnel, metro construction was started. The Congress got industries to Jaipur, which has also turned into a destination for the wedding industry.”
The CM further said that the Congress government is working for the development of all and has launched several schemes with free electricity, Chiranjeevi schemes, pension being given to 1 crore people.
Gehlot said that the BJP has been raising the issue of paper leaks, which have taken place in other states too, but Rajasthan is the only state to bring a strict law against it. He further said that BJP is not talking about future development, inflation or unemployment. “Under Congress government, there is no difference between the rich or poor, everyone is getting the same kind of benefits which is not there in any other state. We have already announced seven more guarantees for the development of Rajasthan. If elected, we will bring a law for old pension scheme. Our government’s performance in these five years has been so good that even BJP has picked up our schemes for their manifesto. Now it is for the public to decide…but I feel that you (public) are in a mood to repeat our government,” said Gehlot.
Party candidate Khachariyawas while addressing the gathering said that under BJP’s rule, “48 incidents of riots took place in Jaipur and no riots have taken place under the Congress government.”
“BJP only creates unrest in the society and does not focus on development. Such parties should not be given a chance in the state. The Congress party does good work and central agencies like ED, Income tax are being used to scare us, but it is now known to the people also that these have been made tools for politics by BJP,” said Khachariyawas.
