Muhana Cops Arrest Five Of Gang That Thrashed, Robbed People | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Muhana police on Friday arrested five members of a gang that waylaid people, thrashed and robbed them.
DCP (South) Yogesh Goyal said that the accused have been idenitfied as Gopal Bharti (42), Vishnu Bharti (25), Sanjay Meena (25), Gopal Gurjar (30), and Manoj (23).
He said that a complainant filed an FIR at the Muhana police station on August 16, alleging that a gang had intercepted him on the Ring Road, assaulted him, and then fled with his cash and mobile phones.
Goyal also mentioned that the mastermind behind the robberies, Sanjan Meena, had been arrested in two cases of robbery and kidnapping in Dausa’s Lalsot. “He had assembled a gang to carry out robberies in remote areas and had plans for more crimes. However, the police managed to arrest the gang members in a timely manner,” he stated.
The gang would hide in deserted areas alongside highways and Ring Roads, where they would stop passing vehicles. They would then proceed to assault people, robbing them of their mobile phones, money, and gold jewellery. The stolen items were divided among the gang members.
The police described this as a notorious robber gang that had committed crimes at multiple locations. It was crucial to apprehend them promptly to prevent further incidents. Various police teams were formed to review over 200 CCTVs across the city, which led to the capture of the accused as they moved from one place to another.
The arrested individuals have a long criminal history, and their backgrounds are being verified by checking data from other police stations.
