Munesh Gurjar: Bribery Case: Munesh Gurjar ‘directly Linked’, Will Be Quizzed: Acb | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Senior officers of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Tuesday said that Munesh Gurjar, the suspended mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation-Heritage, would also be interrogated in the case in which her husband was arrested along with two others for taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.

The ACB officers said that the complainant in this case had first met Munesh Gurjar for help in issuing a land deed, and it was she who asked him to meet her husband.
“In the FIR it is clear that the complainant had first approached Munesh Gurjar when she was mayor, asking her to help in issuance of a land deed. At that time Munesh had asked the complainant to meet her husband, Sushil. Later, Sushil and two middlemen Naryan Singh and Anil Dubey were caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. So, she is the epicentre of this corruption and will be interrogated,” said a senior officer of ACB.

Hemant Priyadarshi, officiating DG of ACB, said, “We are moving step by step. Ofcourse she would be quizzed.”
ACB officers added that the savings bank accounts of Munesh are held jointly with her husband. “We are corroborating the evidence. She is directly linked to this case,” said Sanjiv Nain, additional SP of ACB, the IO of the case.
