Jaipur: Professor Dr Hemant Malhotra, head, department of medical oncology at the Shriram Cancer Center, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College Hospital, Jaipur has been conferred the fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, the top academic body of the country. Dr Malhotra, who is the only medical oncologist from across the country to get the fellowship, said, “Cure for some patients has become possible with the new targeted therapies and advancement in treatment.” He has been working in the field of oncology and medical oncology for more than 30 years. Fellows are selected through a rigorous screening process of applications from across the country.
