Nadda: Country Can Never Forget Sacrifice Of Sikhs: Nadda | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Striking a chord with Sikh farmers in Haumangarh, BJP national president JP Nadda said the country can never forget the sacrifices made by the community to protect the country.
“The 10th Guru Gobind Singh ji and their brave Sahabzadas sacrificed their lives for the country. All other Sikh gurus have also worked to keep the country united by making supreme sacrifices,” said Nadda while addressing a Sikh farmer gathering at Hanumangarh on Friday.
Why did the previous governments did not remember to celebrate Veer Bal Diwas to mark the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh’s Sahabzadas? “It is PM Modi who declared December 26 to be observed as Veer Bal Diwas to remember the martyrs and remember the history of their bravery,” said Nadda. Taking on Congress for causing injustice to Sikhs, Nadda said during the tenure of PM Manmohan Singh for 10 years, the langar of Sri Takht Harmandir Sahib was also taxed, but Modi abolished the tax on langar. “Modi even made the provisions to ensure that Shri Harmindir Sahib receives contributions from foreign/abroad. It shows that BJP never does politics with Sikh brothers while all other parties were involved in it,” said Nadda.
Charging the Congress government for protecting the perpetrators 1984 riots, he said the tears of our Sikh brothers have dried up, but the Congress governments could not bring the perpetrators of the 1984 riots to justice. “It was Modi who formed the SIT and put the culprits behind bars also the riot victims were helped under the Modi government.” he added.
Drawing a parallel with the Centre, he said under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi, 77 lakh farmers of Rajasthan are getting financial aid of Rs 6,000 annually. Slamming the Congress government for making “false promises”, Nadda said Congress made tall claims of farm loan waivers, but t has not been met to date.
