Nasir: Skeletons In Charred Suv Of Nasir, Junaid, Finds Fsl | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The skeletons in a charred SUV found at Barwas village under Loharu police station area of Haryana’s Bhiwani district were those of Nasir and Junaid, who were kidnapped, assaulted and later charred to death allegedly by cow vigilantes who suspected them of involvement in cow smuggling.
Bharatpur police said on Sunday that the report of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) found the DNA samples of the relatives of Nasir and Junaid matched with the samples taken from the skeletons.
“DNA samples of bones and samples of blood were collected from the charred vehicle by our FSL team. Now the samples have a confirmatory match with the DNA samples of blood relatives of Nasir and Junaid. So it is confirmed that the skeletons found were of Nasir and Junaid,” said Bharatpur range IGP Gaurav Srivastav to TOI.
A day after Junaid and Nasir went missing from Ghatmika village in Bharatpur district, the two skeletons were found in a charred SUV on February 16.
Junaid had gone to Firozpur Jhirka village in that SUV. His family had alleged that he and Nasir were kidnapped, assaulted and later set on fire at an isolated area near Barwas village in Bhiwani’s Loharu police station area.
So far eight men have been identified by police as those involved in the case, and one of them, Rinku Saini, has been arrested. Police also identified 12 more people as suspects in this case, including Monu Manesar of Haryana, a prominent cow vigilante. Police also recovered from Jind an SUV in which Juanid and Nasir were transported.
Srivastav also said the DNA test and other forensic tests have confirmed a few other aspects of the case and given investigators some other vital clues to consolidate the case of kidnapping and murder against the accused. Three police teams are tirelessly working in association with Haryana Police, he added.
When asked if Haryana cops are under pressure due to the demonstrations in favour of cow vigilantes, Srivastav said, “They (Haryana cops) are with us in every step of the way, right from facilitating the first arrest (Rinku Saini) to identifying the vehicle and helping us recover it from Jind. The accused are on the run and are not yet found in their possible hideouts. Our teams are working on various leads and we are hopeful of making arrests soon.”
