2 Cops Among Six Hurt In Scuffle Over Gilli Danda Game | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Six persons including two policemen were injured when a minor scuffle among children while playing the traditional game of ‘Gilli Danda’ turned violent at Kavan Ka Bas village under Deeg police station area of Bharatpur.
According to police, some children were playing Gilli Danda at the cremation ground on Saturday evening but after a few minutes into the game they entered into a verbal banter which turned violent. “Soonafter the members of two groups including one led by Hakam Ali and another by Barqat Khan entered into a violent scuffle. A team of senior police officers rushed to the spot,” said a senior police officer of Bharatpur on Sunday.

During the confrontation one of the group also opened fire, which hit a constable named Jagram. “Another policeman identified as Tara Singh also got injured in the stone pelting by the two groups. Four others were also injured in the confrontation,” the officer added.
An FSL team and other senior officers also rushed to the spot. “The two constables were discharged from the hospital after first aid while four others sustained critical injuries, who were taken to the government hospital in Bharatpur,” the officer said.
