Neuroscience: Police To Launch Doorstep Survey For Verification By Using App | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Jaipur police are set to launch a citywide door-to-door verification survey using a newly developed mobile application to digitise the records of individuals staying as tenants, and working as domestic help.
City police commissioner Biju George Joseph has announced that the police have developed a new mobile application called ‘NAZAR’, which will be installed on the mobile phones of all beat constables.
“We have observed in the past that many miscreants who engage in criminal activities stay in the city for a brief period of time and flee after committing the crime. They are often emboldened by the veil of anonymity. The NAZAR app aims to digitise all such data of the floating population in one place so that it can be easily retrieved for investigative purposes,” said Joseph.
He mentioned that in the first phase, the application will be available only for beat constables to record the details of individuals living in rented accommodations, those who have migrated to Jaipur from other cities to work in restaurants, eateries, hotels, etc., or those coming to the city to attend colleges and coaching classes.
Additional Commissioner (law and order) Kunwar Rashtradeep added that in the second phase of NAZAR, it will also be made available for property owners, who rent out their rooms to tenants and hire workers at their commercial establishments.
