New Acs For Mines Bats For M-sand | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a review meeting on Saturday, newly appointed additional chief secretary for mines, petroleum, industries, and MSME, Veenu Gupta emphasised on the need to promote use of M-sand as a cost-effective substitute to sand and gravel (bajri).
She said that investors should be encouraged to establish new M-sand manufacturing units. Highlighting the state government’s M-sand policy which mandates utilisation of at least 25 percent M-sand in government construction projects, Gupta said, “Since the policy’s implementation, 36 M-sand units have started producing 1.25 crore tonnes of M-sand annually. To facilitate the widespread adoption of M-sand, concerted efforts are required to promote its use.”
Directions were issued to director of mines Sandesh Nayak to expedite mineral exploration and auctioning of mining blocks.
