Rahul Gandhi: Kharge, Rahul To Address Rally In Jaipur On Sept 23 |

Jaipur: After Priyanka Gandhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Rajasthan to address a public rally in Jaipur on September 23. According to sources, Rahul will lay the foundation for the Congress state headquarters building in Mansarovar area here.
This will be Rahul’s second rally in two months. Rahul earlier addressed a large rally attended mostly by tribals in Banswara’s Mangarh on August 9 on World Tribal Day.
Pradesh Congress Committee chief Govind Singh Dotasra confirmed the visit and said that PCC had invited Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi to lay the foundation stone on September 23.
He said the tentative proposal includes a public function at Mansarovar where Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will give identity cards to party office bearers. Identity cards will be given to mandal, block and state office bearers during this programme.
Around 6,000 sq metre of land located at Shipra Path in Mansarovar, which comes under the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB), has been cleared for the state Congress’s headquarters.
At present, the Congress headquarters are located in Indira Gandhi Bhawan on Station Road. It is the party’s private property and has been used as a party office since the 1960s. Since this area is overcrowded and faces frequent traffic congestion and the building is also old, Congress wants to shift its state headquarters. tnn
