Nhai To Complete 7 Flyovers By December | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Although the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials are claiming to complete the seven under-construction flyovers on the Jaipur-Ajmer national highway within the next six to seven months, the project director in his letter to the Jaipur collector has revealed that it would take at least eight to twelve months to complete these.
The letter states that the completion date for two flyovers is March 2024, while for the other five flyovers it is June 2024.
Replying to the Jaipur District collector Prakash Rajpurohit’s directive to stop the construction works, NHAI had sent a reply to the collector asking him to revoke his decision. In the letter NHAI has mentioned the date of completion for the seven flyovers.
The letter states that two of the seven flyovers would get constructed by March 2024, while rest five would get over by June 2024.
However, speaking to TOI, officials have claimed that these dates are the ‘official dates’ mentioned in the agreement. Works of this project would get completed much early.
“This is the actual date of construction as stated in the agreement between NHAI and the contractor. But, the way work is going on we are hopeful to complete all the seven flyovers by December 2023. Early next year, vehicles don’t have to take diversions on the sideways. Vehicles can simply use the new flyovers,” said Hairsh Chandra, the project director of NHAI.
