Op Sard Hawa: Bsf Deploys Ultra-modern Weapons For Patrolling | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: With the Republic Day drawing close, Border Security Force (BSF) has started a week-long special exercise called ‘Operation Alert Sard Hawa’ along the Indo-Pak international border.
Besides validating various operational procedures, public outreach programmes are also being conducted in this exercise that started on Saturday and would conclude on January 28.
Additional personnel have been deployed in sensitive places for patrolling and gaps on the border are being set right under the direction of BSF’s Rajasthan frontier IG Puneet Rashtogi.
Patrolling is being done with ultramodern weapons this time. In the rear areas close to the border, joint patrolling is being carried out with police, said officials.
With the border areas witnessing severe fog throughout the day amid the winter chill and drone intrusions from Pakistan side taking place continuously in Ganganagar, BSF personnel are on alert to foil any intrusion bid, they added.
This campaign is carried out during winter every year.
