Jaipur: The Deedwana-Kuchaman police busted an illegal hooch factory and arrested four suspects on Friday.
The illegal operation was being run on an agricultural farm in Makrana police station area. During the operation, police confiscated 51 boxes of illegal country liquor and 140 litres of spirit. Also, two packaging and bottling machines, drums, and a multitude of liquor brand stickers were seized. The individuals involved were identified as Hansraj, Surendra Singh, Vikram, and Harendra. TNN

Five organisers were arrested and disclosed that the casino was only open to known customers who had to provide a passcode to gain entry.

Suspected hooch tragedy claims two lives in Bihar’s Darbhanga
Two villagers have died and two others have fallen ill in Darbhanga district, Bihar, in a suspected hooch tragedy. The victims were residents of Rustampur village and are said to have consumed spurious liquor. Post-mortem examinations could not be conducted as the bodies were cremated. Investigations are underway, and the police are recording statements from family members and the two survivors. The sale and consumption of liquor have been banned in Bihar since April 2016.
