Jaipur: The Rajasthan Berojgar Ekikrit Mahasangh on Thursday observed a one-day fast outside the headquarters of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board protesting the state government’s delay in fulfilling their demands. They threatened a gherao of RSSB on August 25 if their demands were not fulfilled by then.
One of their demands includes immediate appointment of the chairperson and members of the staff selection board so that the process of admissions doesn’t get affected. “The results of fireperson, forest guard and teachers’ recruitment exams should be issued immediately,” said Upen Yadav, president, Rajasthan Berojgar Ekikrit Mahasangh.
“Department-wise break-up of 1 lakh new recruitment and the calendar of recruitment examinations should be issued immediately by the government. Also, 4,500 posts reduced in teachers’ recruitment should be restored. The advertisements for fresh recruitment examinations should also be issued soon,” he added.
