Osian: Male Nurse Assists Jodhpur Woman Deliver In Ambulance | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A male nurse on duty with 108 government ambulance emergency services helped a woman give safe birth to a baby boy in Jodhpur’s Osian on Monday morning. It was a high-risk pregnancy.
After receiving a call, the ambulance posted in Osian was assigned the work at 5.07am and rushed to the 20-year-old woman’s house in Nokhara village of Osian. But before the vehicle could reach the sub-district hospital in Osian, the woman had labour pains. “When she started crying in pain, we all were confused about next step to be taken. The hospital was still a few kilometres away. The nurse in the ambulance persuaded us that he will handle the situation,” said Chaina Ram, the new-born’s uncle.
The baby was born at 6.34am. “The mother and baby are doing well,” said the uncle. They have been referred to Umaid Hospital, Jodhpur.
When the ambulance reached near Mandore, Shrawan Kumar, the male nurse helped the woman give birth. Since her first delivery was Caesarean, and other comorbidities made her pregnancy complicated, the woman was taken to Umaid Hospital for further treatment. TNN
