Over 1 Cr Registered On E-shram Portal In Raj | Jaipur News
Jaipur: As many as 1.27 crore unorganised workers in Rajasthan have been registered on the Centre’s e-shram portal, a national database of unorganised workers aged between 16-59 seeded with Aadhaar, as on January 31, data from the ministry of labour and employment stated.
Minister of state for labour and employment Rameswar Teli informed in a reply in Lok Sabha on February 6.
On August 26, 2021, the ministry launched the e-SHRAM portal. As on January 31, 2023, more than 28.56 crore unorganised workers have been registered on it. “The Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) scheme was launched in 2019. It is a voluntary and co-contributory scheme for welfare of the unorganised workers, providing a monthly pension of Rs 3000 on attaining the age of 60 years,” the reply stated.
Workers in 18-40 age group with monthly income is Rs 15,000 or less and not a member of EPFO/ESIC/NPS (government funded) can join the scheme.
