Over 200kg Single-use Plastic Seized From Godown In Kota Dist | Jaipur News

Kota: In order to ensure complete ban on single-use plastic, a squad from Kota Municipal Corporation (KMC) (North) led by fire officer Rakesh Vyas, carried out search operation in shops and godowns in Rampura market in the city on Tuesday and seized over 200kg single-use plastic.
KMC (North) fire officer, Rakesh Vyas said, “Over 200 kg of single-use polyethylene packed in six bags was seized from a godown in Balli market in Rampura during the search operation on Tuesday. Following the enforcement of a ban on single-use plastic, KMC carried out an awareness campaign so that the traders could voluntarily remove the banned item.” The seized polyethylene was to be supplied to the shopkeepers in the market, he added. He has recommended to the senior official for action against the owner of the godown for storing polyethylene despite the ban, he said, adding the camping against single use plastic would continue for the coming days.
