Orange alert sounded in 9 districts of Rajasthan; temp takes a dip | Jaipur News

JAIPUR/ALWAR: The meteorological department sounded an orange alert for nine districts of the state. Light to moderate rain was recorded in different parts of Rajasthan due to the onset of the monsoon leading to a drop in maximum and minimum temperatures.
According to the water resources department, 321 stations reported rain in the last 24 hours. While eight stations reported heavy rains (64.5-115.5mm), 89 locations received moderate rains (15.6-64.4mm). The maximum rain of 183mm was reported at Kachola in Bhilwara.
It has predicted heavy rains in Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, and Bharatpur divisions in south-eastern Rajasthan in the next two days.
Banswara received 10cm of rain followed by 9cm in Jayal of Nagaur district, 8cm in Nasirabad of Ajmer, 7cm in Kekri, 7cm in Mandrayal, 6cm in Savar, 6cm in Mandalgarh, and 6cm in Rohat, the weather department said.
The minimum temperatures in most parts of Rajasthan were recorded between 28.8 degrees Celsius and 23.7 degrees Celsius.
People are facing difficulties due to water logging on the main road of 12 villages in Bharatpur district and people protested by sitting in the water and chanting hymns.
Waterlogging on the main road connecting 12 villages in the city under the Nagar assembly area has become a problem. Villagers protested by singing bhajan kirtan while sitting in the water-logged road and shouting slogans against the government. The main road to 12 villages passes through village Nagla Januthar of Danlothi Gram Panchayat, where there waterlogging has been a long-standing issue.
