Fir Over Fake Id Of Alwar Municipal Council Chairman | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Criminals created a fake ID on social media by impersonating as the chairperson of Alwar municipal council, Ghyanshyam Gurjar, and sent demands to pay money to at least six persons known to him. As the matter came to light on Saturday, the chairperson has lodged a complaint with Kotwali police station in Alwar. According to police, some people including a few councillors of the municipal council got a message on Whatsapp from a person who impersonated as Gurjar. “In the message, there was a clear demand of money for some emergency. Also similar messages were sent to other people who were known to Gurjar,” said a senior officer of Kotwali police station on Tuesday. The matter came to light when one Vinay Agarwal got a message from someone who impersonated as Gurjar. “He informed a councillor and that’s how the chairperson came to know about it and approached us. It was found that none of the persons has so far transferred money. Even a few of them called up the chairperson if he was actually in need of money,” the officer said. tnn
