Parnami: Bjp Stir Over Transport Firm Staffer’s Suicide | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: BJP leaders led by former MLA Ashok Parnami staged a protest outside SMS Hospital to demand justice for Sanjay Pandey, 40, who ended his life on Monday after blaming the owner of a transport company for his drastic step.
Pandey’s family alleged in their FIR at Kanota police station on Tuesday that he was under financial and mental stress after the company’s owner, Shabbir Khan, refused to clear his pending salaries. Parnami alleged that Pandey had left behind audio messages, in which he narrated his ordeal.
“He (Pandey) was being forced by Shabbir Khan into cattle smuggling. He did not want to join the illegal trade that the accused was forcing him into,” he said. The former MLA also pointed out that Pandey alleged Shabbir Khan enjoyed the patronage of a Congress leader. “The victim has said Shabbir Khan enjoyed the patronage of MLA Rafiq Khan. That should also be probed,” Parnami said.
