Sports Nutrition: Gehlot Aide Dadhich Joins Bjp | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a major setback to the Congress and particularly to chief minister Ashok Gehlot, senior party leader and former mayor of Jodhpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Rameshwar Dadhich left the party and joined the BJP on Thursday night. Dadhich was considered a close confidant of Gehlot.
Dadhich is the first directly elected mayor of the JMC and was seeking party ticket from Soorsagar seat. After being denied the party ticket, he has filed his nomination as an Independent from there.
Dadhich had earlier claimed that he would win the seat with a record majority. However, he withdrew his nomination on Thursday. His withdrawal is considered as a strategic move by BJP as he could have hurt the BJP by dividing the majority votes. The Congress has given the ticket to Shehzad Khan, son of Prof Ayub Khan who was recently made a member of the RPSC. Ayub Khan was last time Congress candidate from Soorsagar.
