Kota: The Food Corporation of India (FCI) on Thursday conducted a media visit to its godowns in Shivpura area of the city and shared information on various processes and methods of better storage for food grains. Divisional manager, FCI, Kota Satish Kumar, through PPT presentation and videos, explained the functioning and mechanism of FCI and Food Storage Depot at Shivpura.
The working of FCI and storage depot procure stocks, where entry is allowed after generating and issuing tokens through the depot online system. The stock is then sent to its assigned shade, said Kumar. The examination of quality parameters and collection of samples by technical teams begin with each of the stock at the entry gate and the entire process is in both print and digital, he added. tnn
