With the recent approval of the procurement of five squadrons of the long-range surface-to-air missile (LR-SAM) system, India is gearing up to enhance its air defense capabilities. This “desi Iron Dome” will be equipped to detect and neutralize threats posed by stealth fighters, aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and precision-guided munitions, securing the nation’s airspace effectively.
