Singh added since many areas in Bharatpur including Deeg, Kumher, Kaman, Gopalgarh have become hubs of cyber crime, continuous crackdown is necessary. “We have made a result-oriented strategy against the cons and we will surely be successful in making our area cyber crime free. In this year so far, we have arrested and jailed nearly 46 persons and handed over 56 criminals were handed over to police of other states,” he added.
He added it was also found in various investigations that the cons in order to dodge police were getting SIM cards of other states. “In majority of the cases, they were using the phone numbers for which the SIM cards were issued from states like Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and others. They avoided SIM cards issued from Rajasthan to dodge technical surveillance after cases of cheating were registered,” Singh added.
Bharatpur police was also successful in recovery of the cheated money through digital medium.
“So far more than Rs 15 lakh has been recovered and nearly Rs 30 lakh saved that could have easily gone to the accounts of the cons. This is an ongoing process and the crackdown will continue,” he added.
