Police: Four Days After Man Shot Dead In Jaipur, Cops Groping In Dark | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Four days after a 38-year-old man was shot dead in the Kardhani area, the city police are still struggling to find leads in the case. The victim, Ashish Kumawat, was found dead alongside his bike on a road under the Kardhani police station area, however, upon closer inspection, an X-ray revealed a bullet lodged in his stomach.
In the ongoing investigation, the police have detained and interrogated several suspects from the city and surrounding areas.About a dozen teams have been dispatched to unravel the case, but no significant breakthrough has been achieved. Police teams have so far interrogated approximately 50 people. In addition to this, Kumawat’s brother has made allegations against some individuals, and the police are conducting investigations in relation to these claims. Moreover, they are analyzing the call details of mobile numbers associated with many suspects.
It is worth noting that around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, while on his way to work on a bike, Ashish was shot in the stomach by two miscreants riding another bike who approached from behind near Khirni gate. As a result, his bike went out of control and he fell. Officers mentioned police began examining CCTV footage during which they observed two suspects on a bike, who appeared to be speeding away from the scene at the same time.

Pak police get permit to interrogate Imran Khan in jail
The special court overseeing the May 9 riots case has granted permission to Rawalpindi police to interrogate Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who are currently in Adiala Jail. The police officer appearing before the court requested permission to include the accused in the investigation based on testimonies provided by co-accused. The judge allowed the police to question Qureshi in accordance with the law. Imran Khan and Qureshi were previously charged in the cypher case and pleaded not guilty.
