Political Arena: 80 Parties Taking Part In Elections | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: In the political arena, the Congress is actively working to maintain its current grip on power, while the BJP is once again striving to carve out a stronger presence in state politics. However, the Assembly elections witness the participation of a staggering 80 national and regional parties.
Beyond the spotlight on major political entities, a myriad of smaller parties, including the Pehchan People’s Party, National Future Party, and Umeed Party of India, are set to actively engage in the electoral process.
This year, the BJP leads the charge with 200 candidates, closely followed by 199 from the Congress, 185 from the BSP, and 86 from the AAP. As the electoral landscape promises a dynamic contest with parties of all scales vying for public support, Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party has fielded 10 candidates this time.
Similarly, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) have fielded 17 and three candidates, respectively. The Social Democratic Party of India has also fielded three candidates.tnn
