Polo Club: Mayo Alumni Jaipur Win Legends Cup |

Jaipur: Mayo Alumni Jaipur defeated Mayo Alumni Udaipur 6-4 to win the first edition of the USPA Legends Cup at the Rajasthan Polo Club here on Saturday. The Jaipur team’s Padmanabh Singh scored four goals and Vikramaditya Singh Barkana struck two. Other players in the winner’s team were Pratap Singh Kanota, Bhumanjay Singh and Divyaraj Rathore. In the Udaipur team, Rao Himmat Singh Bedla chipped in with three goals while Kr Ransher Singh scored 1 goal. The Udaipur team included Vijayshree Shaktawat, Maj. Raghav Raj Singh, Th. Bhawani Singh Kalvi. Maharaj Jai Singh was the chief guest on the occasion and presented the trophy.
“This is the first edition of the Legends Cup, featuring HH Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, and we are looking forward to this legendary association with Mayo. Transferred a week ago, Mayo dean Dr Bijwe still holds office
The Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) in Nagpur is facing a leadership crisis as the dean, Dr. Sanjay Bijwe, has been transferred but is still occupying the position. Dr. Bijwe’s transfer came after complaints about his style of functioning. The hospital and college administration were reportedly adversely affected during his tenure. The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has asked Dr. Bijwe to hand over charge, but no new dean has been appointed yet. The situation has caused a constitutional crisis at the institution.
