Post-inspection, Jmc-g Removes Dumped Waste | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Clearing of garbage and dirt from roadsides and dividers resumed in different zones of Jaipur Municipal Corporation – Greater (JMC-G) on Friday, a day after officials responsible for the task were reprimanded by the commissioner for negligence.
“After strict inspections by the commissioner in different zones, action started on the ground from Friday, and the cleaning staff cleared garbage and dirt from dividers of roads where it was dumped in large quantities. The commissioner is very strict about cleanliness and beautification of the city,” said a JMC-G official.
JMC-G commissioner Mahendra Soni had conducted surprise inspections at different zones of the municipal corporation on Wednesday and Thursday after complaints were received regarding lack of cleanliness. He conducted inspections at Jhotwara, Murlipura and Vidyadhar Nagar zones on Thursday. The commissioner also visited areas like Sikar Road, Kanta Chauraha, Khirni Phatak Pulia Underpass, Sanjay Nagar Kachi Basti and Kalwar Road. After the inspections, Soni had suspended three officials and issued show-cause notices to three others for negligence of duty.
With the city witnessing rains at regular intervals now, JMC-G’s flood control room has started receiving complaints regarding waterlogging. The commissioner also witnessed waterlogged patches during inspection. He found water filled at the culvert underpass at Khirni gate.
Soni also instructed that officers of the zones concerned should go to the field and ensure that the complaints related to sewer lines or storm water drain cleaning are resolved at the earliest.
