Prahlad Sharma: Prahlad Sharma Elected As Prez Of Hc Bar Association | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Advocate Prahlad Sharma was elected to the post of president of the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association and Sushil Pujari was elected as general secretary for the 2023-24 annual elections. Sharma defeated Mahendra Shandilya by 237 votes. Sushil Pujari defeated Sanjay Khedar by 130 votes for the post of general secretary. At the High Court Bar elections, Nikhilesh Katara and Ashok Kumar Yadav were elected for the two posts of vice president.
Election conducting officers Manindra Kumar Kaushik, Harendra Singh Sinsinwar and Rajendra Singh Tanwar informed that others who were elected on different posts included – Chitank Sharma (joint secretary), Yogesh Kumar Tailor (treasurer), Meenu Verma (cultural secretary), Lalit Gautam (library secretary) and Ashima Mathur (joint library secretary).
Apart from this, Nishant Sharma, Malkhan Chaturvedi, Suman Sharma, Manish Kumar Sharma, Satish Khandelwal, Sanjay Bharti, Suresh Kashyap and Govind Gupta were elected to the eight posts of executive members.
Likewise, in the annual elections of The Bar Association Jaipur, Pawan Sharma was elected to the post of President and Rajkumar Sharma was elected to the post of general secretary. Pawan got 1,599 votes while the defeated candidate Sandeep Luhadia got 766 votes. For the post of general secretary, Rajkumar Sharma defeated his nearest rival Manish Gagrani Maheshwari by 358 votes.
On the other hand, at the District Advocates Bar Association Gajraj Singh Rajawat and Akhilesh Kumar Joshi were elected on the post of president and general secretary, respectively.

Pakistan’s election body asks govt to deploy army on general election day
Pakistan’s Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has requested the deployment of regular army troops for the upcoming general election due to a shortage of police personnel. In a letter to the interior ministry, the ECP highlighted the need for at least 591,106 security personnel, with a shortage of 277,558 police personnel. The ECP demanded the deployment of the Pakistan Army and paramilitary forces to ensure peace and security during the polling. The government has assured that the financial needs of the ECP will be met.
