‘prepare Plans For 10 Villages With Over 10k Population’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Rural development and panchayati raj minister Ramesh Chand Meena on Monday gave instructions to the department officials to identify 10 villages with a population of more than 10,000 and, keeping in view their requirements in future, asked them to prepare a comprehensive village development plan (VDP) as a pilot project.
The minister presided over a review meeting on implementation of various announcements made during the state budget. Meena said every proposal for development works should be discussed in gram panchayats, panchayat samitis and zila parishads and people’s representatives should be informed about these.
He gave directions to monitor construction works being done under various schemes of the department and to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects. Along with expediting construction work of newly-built panchayat samiti and gram panchayat bhawans, he instructed the officials to collect information about dilapidated buildings of old panchayat samitis and gram panchayats.
Reviewing MGNREGA, he instructed them to appoint more women mates and to ensure surprise inspections of ongoing projects.
