Prime Accused In Hotel Firing Had Threatened To Extort Businessman From Madhya Pradesh | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Police have discovered that one of the prime suspects in the Days Hotel firing case had also threatened a businessman for extortion in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.
In another development, another club owner has alleged that Rohit Godara has asked him to cough up Rs 2 crore extortion.
An FIR was filed at the Bani Park police station.
A senior official of the city police told TOI that Pradeep Shukla (21) held with two others from Agra on Monday, had allegedly threatened a businessman in Madhya Pradesh last year in October.
Police said that the FIR was registered against the accused there.
The Jaipur police also found that the accused had procured the firearms from Punjab at the directions of the gangster Ritik Boxer.
“These accused were working on the directions of Ritik Boxer. He sent Shukla to Punjab to collect firearms from his source,” said an official.
Three suspects, including Shukla, and a 15-year-old minor were injured in an alleged shootout with Jaipur police’s crime branch along Goner Road on Tuesday morning when the trio shot at cops after snatching a constable’s firearm.Police said the accused Pradeep Shukla , Rishab Rajwar (18) and the minor are undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital.
According to sources, Shukla has been admitted to the ICU and his condition remains critical.
