Private Bus: Private Bus Operators Call Off Strike |

Jaipur: Private bus operators called off their one-day strike on Monday evening after their successful talks with the state government.
The bus operators had announced that they will go on strike from Tuesday midnight across the state.
Satyanarayan Sahu, president of Bus Operators Association Rajasthan said, “We had a successful round of talks with the state government on Monday after which we decided to call off the strike. All our demands have been agreed upon.”
The bus operators had eight demands including, issuing permits to private buses for operation on routes where RSRTC buses do not ply, reduce tax on permits of private buses, implementation of Budget announcement of issuing 2,500 permits, waive off tax on surrendered buses and buses operating on rural routes, take Rs 2,000 as fine for challan related to permits among other demands. tnn
