Jaipur: AICC Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa taking disciplinary action against party rebels ordered for expulsion of 49 leaders from the party for six years with immediate effect on Wednesday.
The prominent leadersinclude MLAs Joharilal Meena from Rajgarh-Laxmangarh, ex-MLA Shrigopal Baheti from Pushkar, Sunil Parihar from Siwana, Habibur Rahman from Nagaur, Fateh Khan from Sheo, Virendra Beniwal from Lunkaransar, Khiladi Lal Bairwa from Baseri, Dr Param Navdeep Singh from Sangaria, Mahesh Mordia from Dhod and Prahlad Narayan Bairwa from Niwai among others.tnn

Congress’ Rajasthan in-charge sends warning letter to rebels leaders
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, the Rajasthan in-charge of the All India Congress Committee, has sent warning letters to senior party leaders and Congress workers who are supporting candidates other than the party’s authorized candidate. Randhawa has given them a deadline of two days to withdraw from the elections and join the campaign in support of the official candidate. Failure to do so will result in action being taken against them. Around 15-20 rebel candidates are reportedly causing problems for the party’s authorized candidates in the Assembly elections.
Pakistan: Yet another senior leader from Imran Khan’s party resigns
Former secretary general of Imran Khan’s political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Umar, has resigned from the party’s basic membership due to disagreements with the party’s policy of confrontation with state institutions. Umar’s resignation comes ahead of the general elections on February 8. He joins a growing list of senior party leaders who have quit politics following violent protests by PTI supporters after Khan’s arrest in an alleged corruption case. Several party leaders have deserted Khan’s PTI, leading to a decline in the party’s popularity.
