Promotions: Metro Services May Be Affected From Sept 19 | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Metro services in Jaipur may be affected from September 19 as Metro Sanyukt Karamchari Sangh members have announced a strike to demand promotions of employees of different scales.
“There have been no promotions ever since Metro services were introduced in 2013. So, we started a series of demonstrations that would last till September 18. If our demands are not met by then, we won’t join duty from September 19,” said Ramkaran Panvar, the association secretary.
The off-duty employees and some others on leave began a hunger strike from Wednesday at Raghu Path, adjacent to Metro headquarters in Mansarovar.
They have plans to hold demonstrations, organise Sadbuddhi yajnas and protests involving immediate family members in the next few days. TNN
